After riding on the recent success of Jaguar Land Rover worldwide, Tata Motors is set to launch fresh offensive. The company has said that it is looking to introduce an entry level vehicle, a station wagon and a new roadster under the JLR brand.

Along with developing its small car Nano for the international markets, Tata Motors is also planning to launch hybrid vehicles under the Land Rover brand. The company moreover believes that it has tremendous growth potential and it needs to fill more market sectors and could possibly start building cars outside of the UK.

The manufacturer is also planning to embark on a new-model blitz that would not only see more models joining the recently launched Evoque but existing ones being overhauled with smaller petrol and diesel engines. The overhaul will likely increase the amount of component sharing between Tata, Jaguar and Land Rover.

For the month of July 2010, Tata Motors’ total sales of commercial and passenger vehicles (including exports) were 67,799 vehicles, a growth of 41% as compared to 48,054 vehicles sold in July 2009. The company’s domestic sales for the said month were 63,558 units, a 39% growth over 45,599 units sold in July last year.
