Suzuki has showcased two concepts based on its flagship Kizashi saloon.

The first Concept is the Kizashi EcoCharge concept which according to the manufacturer, illustrates Suzuki's global eco-mobility story, and accentuates the company's effort in socially conscious motoring. The Kizashi EcoCharge is a hybrid saloon concept with an extra touch of style. The 2.0-litre four cylinder petrol engine gets an additional 15-kilowatt motor and 115-volt, air-cooled, lithium-ion battery. According to Suzuki, this combination is good for a 25 percent increase over the standard version’s fuel economy. This addition in fuel economy is being achieved not only by the additional hybrid powetrain but also a new Start/stop feature, regenerative braking system as well as low-rolling resistance tires.

The other Kizashi concept is called the Kizashi Apex. Apart from manufacturing cars and SUV’s, Suzuki is also famous for its high-performance motorcycles; the Kizashi Apex concept aims in bridging the gap between them.

The Kizashi Apex sees a power increase from its 2.4-liter four cylinder engine with the help of a Garret turbocharger, air-to-liquid intercooler, electronic boost control and a recalibrated ECU.

The Kizashi Apex concept churns out an estimated 275-300bhp. It is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and according to Suzuki, it will be the only transmission choice when if the car sees production. The Kizashi Apex concept has a similar livery to its GSX-R series of bikes. Additional features include Alacantara inserts, 19-inch wheels and size 245 Yokohama tires.
