SsangYong has taken the wraps off the Rexton facelift in its home market. It comes with some added equipment and features and also some cosmetic upgrades.
On the outside, the facelifted Rexton gets a vertical grille, projector headlamps with LED daytime-running lights, a new tail-lamp cluster and newly designed alloys. Inside the cabin, the additions include LED cabin lamps, heated seats, a new steering wheel and a new design for the central console.
Mechanically, the Rexton facelift is unchanged, which means the updated car continues with a 2.0-litre diesel, 2.7-litre diesel or a 3.2-litre petrol engine. Gearbox options include a six-speed manual and a five-speed automatic. It also gets an option between all-wheel drive and part-time four-wheel drive.
It is still unclear whether the facelifted Rexton will make it to the Indian shores or not. Currently, SsangYong offers the 2.7-litre Rexton (in two states of tune) in India.
