Nissan Sunny facelift.

Nissan will launch the facelifted Sunny sedan in India in June 2014.

The updated Sunny sedan gets styling tweaks at the front and rear. The headlamps are now bigger, more angular and go deep into the bumper. This also makes the grille look more pronounced. In fact, the Sunny now looks more like a smaller Teana than it did before.

The Sunny facelift also gets new alloy wheels and chrome highlights on lower half of the bumper. Inside, the steering wheel is now leather wrapped and the centre console is new too, with a piano-black trim and a display for the reversing camera. The audio system gets Bluetooth and USB connectivity as well.

According to our sources, Nissan dealers are focussing on clearing out old stocks of the Sunny sedan before the new model is launched and towards this end, there are discounts being offered on stocks of the 2013 Sunny sedan to the tune of Rs 60,000 - 90,000, depending on variant and availability. The 2014 pre-facelift Sunny sedan variants are also on offer at a discount of Rs 40,000 - 60,000.

Mechanically, the updated Nissan Sunny sedan will come with the same 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines mated to a five-speed manual gearbox as the current car, as well as the option of a CVT automatic gearbox on the petrol variant.
