Hyundai has released a first teaser of its upcoming 2019 Santa Fe flagship SUV. The company will unveil the new model in production guise at the upcoming Geneva motor show 2018, in March.

Spy shots of the new 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV suggest a design that takes a clean departure from the earlier model with the upcoming SUV getting a Kona-inspired design – especially when seen upfront.

The new Santa Fe SUV’s nose gets the large grille which is now common to newer Hyundai models. The headlights have been divided in two different sections, with the top ones likely to house LED daytime running lights, while the bottom section would consist the other set of lights.  Moving on to the sides, expect the new Santa Fe to feature strong creases running across its length, chunkier wheel arches and a generous amount of chrome, for that upmarket look.  At the back, not many details are known, however the SUV is likely to feature horizontal tail-lamps with LED inserts.

Expect the new Santa Fe to come with a range of petrol and diesel engines, globally, along with five- and seven-seat configurations. There is no word on an India launch, yet. If the new Santa Fe comes to India, it will take on the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, the Ford Endeavour, the Jeep Compass and the Skoda Kodiaq.
