Mercedes-Benz India has launched the 2010 version of its M-class SUV. The latest upgrade comes on the heels of recently launching 2010 editions of the S-class and E-class.
Available in Sports and Luxury trim levels, the 2010 M-class comes loaded with latest technology and safety features that have helped the SUV score 5-star ratings in the NCAP crash test. Mercedes has filled the M-class with features that makes it the safest car in its class.
The Sports edition SUV features sporty interiors that include sporty instrument cluster, sports pedal system, leather upholstery and electrically adjustable front sport seats. On the outside, the SUV sports 19 inch 5-twin spoke alloy wheels, rectangular tailpipes with chrome inserts, aluminium-look roof rails and chrome load sill guard on the rear bumper.
In addition to the features on the Sports variant, the luxury edition includes multi-functional steering wheel in wood and leather finish, 3-zone automatic climate control, LOGIC 7 surround sound music system and anti-theft protection package.
On the safety front, the M-class is loaded with seven airbags as standard, belt tensioners, crash responsive NECK-PRO head restraints and PRE-SAFE protection system. Mercedes takes the game ahead with the M-class by adding features like permanent 4-wheel drive with traction control, downhill speed regulation, acceleration skid control, off-road ABS system, AIRMATIC air suspension and adaptive damping system.
“The M-Class has been a popular model series in India. The Sports Edition and the Luxury Edition are very aggressively priced considering the loadings and features of this marquee,” said Dr. Wilfried Aulbur, MD, CEO, Mercedes-Benz India.
The M-class Sports variant is priced at Rs 55 lakh while the Luxury edition retails at Rs 60.9 lakh (ex-showrrom, Delhi).
