A first set of spy shots of the upcoming Jeep Renegade facelift had surfaced a few days ago. Now, two new images have been leaked, which look to be pointing out at some of changes that will be seen on the updated model.

The first image reveals the refreshed Renegade’s front. As reported by us earlier, the new Renegade will sport similar LED headlamps like the ones on the new Wrangler. Expect similar LED DRL too with a circular design.

The next change, and easily noticeable, is that the colour of the plastic frame for the headlight and grille surround has been changed to matte-grey now which used to be black earlier.

Apart from the above, another major update is an all-new bumper design. The new-look bumper, which is chunkier and protrudes towards the front, now gets fog lamps more towards the centre as opposed to those placed at the corners on the outgoing model. Also, the new bumper seems to get a monotone theme instead of the one before that sported a dual-tone design with a faux skid plate.

The second image shows the larger infotainment screen, which could be as big as 8.4 inches.

The Renegade, Jeep's smallest SUV, was unveiled back in 2014 and is sold in multiple international markets more or less unchanged. The Renegade will be Jeep's next locally assembled product for India and as reported by us earlier, India will get the facelifted model which will see a global unveil in late 2018.

Under the hood, the India-bound Renegade is likely to come with a 140hp, 2.0-litre diesel and a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine with full-time four-wheel drive as optional and two-wheel drive as standard. Key rivals to the Renegade would be the Hyundai Creta, Renault’s Captur and the upcoming Nissan Kicks.

Expect competitive pricing for the Renegade as Jeep is already in talks with suppliers to increase local content ahead of launch.
