Long-wheelbase XF L will be the first Jaguar to be built at the company's China plant.

With the popularity of long-wheelbase luxury sedans in the Chinese markets, many automakers have taken to developing country-specific long-wheelbase models. This line-up of long-wheelbase models exclusive in China includes the Mercedes E-class, Audi A6 L and the soon-to-be-revealed new Audi A4 L.

Jaguar is now set to enter the fray with not only its first long-wheelbase XF, but its first sedan to be manufactured by its joint venture in China. The XF L will be built alongside the Range Rover Evoque and Land Rover Discovery at the company’s Changshu plant that it jointly operates with local automaker Chery Automobile.
