Honda Siel India has launched a new variant of the Jazz called the Jazz X with modifications to the exterior and interiors. Reacting to sharp customer criticism, Honda has added a USB port to the audio system and the interiors now feature a blue black combination seat colour, a rear parcel shelf and height adjustable driver seat. On the outside, the hatch sports alloy wheels, new front fog lamps, front grille and a new rear spoiler.
There are no changes in the engine department. The Jazz X continues to be powered by Honda's smooth and refined four-cylinder 1198cc Vtec motor that produces max power of 89bhp and 11.2kgm of torque. Power is transmitted through 5-speed manual gearbox.
The new Jazz X will now be offered in one new colour-Rallye Red, apart from the existing colours - Tafetta White, Alabaster Silver, Crystal Black Pearl, Sherbet Blue and Deep Sapphire Blue. All these additions, however, come at a price. The Jazz X retails at Rs 7.53 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), a premium of Rs 42,000 over the base version of the car.
