Fiat India has launched more powerful version of the Linea, called the T-jet. The company has introduced a 1.4-litre Turbocharged petrol engine that produces a max power of 113bhp.
The Linea T-Jet has been launched in two trim levels; Linea T Jet and T Jet Plus. The T Jet is priced at Rs 8.84lakh, while the T Jet Plus retails at Rs 9.29lakh (all prices ex-showroom Mumbai).
This will be the only car in its category to sport a turbocharged petrol engine and will give the car legs to compete well against segment leader, the Honda City. The new 1.4-litre motor is coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission.
Fiat hasn’t just plonked in a more powerful motor, they’ve done a thorough job on the car. You get larger 16inch wheels, wider 205 tyres and rear disc brakes as standard. The ground clearance of the car has also been increased to 170mm.
