Audi India has added another variant in its Q5 SUV lineup, called the Q5 2.0 TDI Quattro. The Q5 2.0TDI is powered by a diesel motor that churns out 170bhp mated and 35.7kgm of torque. It is mated to a 7-speed S-tronic gearbox.
The new variant joins the existing Q5 SUV range that includes the 3.0TDI diesel and the 2.0TFSI petrol models. It will be imported in as CKD unit and final assembly will be done in India.
The Q5 competes with Land Rover Freelander 2 and Volvo XC 60. The Freelander is available with a 2.2-litre Diesel engine that churns out 156bhp, it is priced at Rs 44.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) while the Volvo XC60 comes with a 205bhp 2.4-litre diesel engine and is priced at Rs 39.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Audi Q5 2.0 TDI q is priced at INR 39,05,000 (ex-showroom Maharashtra). According to Audi, deliveries to customers will begin in April 2011.
