With Apple rolling out its new iOS16 software last night, Triumph owners using the My Triumph app are unable to pair their phone with their Triumph motorbike via Bluetooth. This has resulted in the Hinckley-based manufacturer’s bikes preventing users from using the turn-by-turn navigation feature.

To remedy this, Triumph is encouraging owners who wish to use their turn-by-turn navigation feature to stave off updating their iPhone until this issue is resolved. Triumph says they are working with Apple closely to resolve this issue.

Currently, all of Triumph’s 1,200cc triple-cylinder models, including the Tiger 1200 range and Speed Triple 1200 RS, get Bluetooth connectivity as standard. On the Trident 660, Street Triple RS, Tiger Sport range (including the 660 and 850 models), and Tiger 900 range, it is an optional extra. None of the models in Triumph’s neo retro Bonneville range  nor the Street triple R get it even as an option.
