At EICMA 2025, a resurgent Norton showed four new motorcycles based on two all-new platforms in the form of the 585cc Atlas adventure bikes and the 1,200cc Manx V4 models. But that’s not all the company is working on. We have learnt that there’s a third engine platform slated for a 2026 debut.
- 450cc single-cylinder engine is Norton’s third platform
- The 450cc bike could be a neo-retro machine
- It will likely be revealed in the latter half of 2026
Norton 450cc single-cylinder bike in development
Will be the entry point into Norton’s line-up when it goes on sale
While the Manx and Atlas are certainly geared toward export markets – the former more so than the latter – this upcoming 450cc single-cylinder is the most relevant product from an Indian perspective. Currently, there are no details on what form factor of bike this engine will underpin, but given that so far there are no neo-retro bikes in Norton’s line-up, that’s certainly a likely possibility.
The neo-retro space has seen massive growth in recent years – Royal Enfield is a prime example – and with a fabled badge like Norton on the tank, the 450cc platform could prove to be the perfect base for TVS to throw its hat into this hotly contested ring. The first half of 2026 will see the Manx and Atlas go on sale, and it is quite likely that the 450cc Norton model will be revealed in the latter half of the year.
