Honda has launched a new, revamped version of the CBR250R in Indonesia, with both cosmetic as well as mechanical updates. The new CBR250R's design lines are inspired by the company's race bred CBR series, unlike the one available in India which is derived from the VFR1200F.

The new CBR250R sports a fairing that showcases dual headlights, and has been redesigned to give a more aggressive stance to the motorcycle. Another noticeable change on the new CBR250R is the chrome plated exhaust system that is not only more lightweight but also enhances the overall visual appeal of the motorcycle.

On the mechanical front, the new bike is powered by a 250cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine. Mated to a six-speed gearbox, the maximum power of 28.59bhp at 9000rpm, and peak torque of 2.3kgm made at 7500rpm, is transferred to the rear wheel via a drive chain.
Similar to the current CBR250R on sale in India, the new version too comes with an option of ABS.

Since its launch in India, the Honda CBR250R hasn't received updates except for new colour options and the introduction of a Repsol version. During the 2014 Auto Expo, the company did mention that they won't be launching the CBR300R in India, however this Indonesian launch indicates that the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer may look into upgrading its flagship motorcycle offering for the Indian market as well.
