Mahindra’s completely in-house developed Gusto now has a trim that sits in between its basic DX and its top-of-the-line VX variants. The new trim is called the HX. All three variants of the Gusto use the same engine - a four-stroke, 109.6cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder - with peak power output of 8bhp generated at 7,500rpm, and 0.8kgm of torque coming in at 5,500rpm. Mahindra has also introduced new colour schemes for the Gusto, including two shades of white, two shades of black, red and magenta. Let’s take a look at the differences between the three variants.

Mahindra Gusto DX: This trim is the basic version that does not get the height adjustable seat option, instead it is fixed at 770mm. The DX also does not get the remote flip key and the find-me lamps. It retails for Rs 47,000 (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

Mahindra Gusto HX: This new version gets the height adjustable seat that can toggle between 735mm and 770mm. However, similar to the DX, even the HX variant doesn't get the remote flip key and find-me lamps. The HX retails at Rs 49,000 (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

Mahindra Gusto VX: The top-of-the-line version of the Gusto, the VX gets the remote flip key, find-me lamps and a height adjustable seat, as standard. The Gusto VX is priced at Rs 51,000 (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
