KTM have made its presence felt in the Indian two-wheeler arena with the likes of the 200 and 390 Duke, which have received a warm welcome from Indian enthusiasts. The Austrian two-wheeler giant seems to be working on a small capacity supermotard which looks as though it is in its final stages of testing. From this spy shot clearly this new motorcycle sports minimalistic body panels, Duke typical rear view mirrors and instruments. The multi-spoke alloy wheels and slim LED taillight too look reminiscent of the Duke family as seen in the country. This bike also gets a long-flat seat and lifted exhaust typical to dirt and supermotard bikes. Other bits are the exposed trellis frame, USD forks upfront and exposed monoshock in white with longer travel, bolted onto an alloy swingarm at the rear which look identical to the Duke family. Clearly this motorcycle gets higher ground clearance and uses a single disc at the front and rear.

KTM set foot into India with small capacity street bikes and have tasted fair amounts of success. A small capacity supermotard as this makes absolute sense for the Indian market when considering its price and practicality. Unfortunately, this supermotard is only being tested for Europe and an Indian launch is nowhere in sight.
