The ZX 4R features a 399cc, inline 4, liquid cooled engine.
The Kawasaki ZX-4R sits below the ZX-6R in the brand’s line-up and is its smallest displacement and most affordable inline-four offering in India. However, with an ex-showroom price of Rs 8.79 lakh, it’s a tough pill to swallow for many.
Now, Kawasaki is offering a discount of Rs 40,000 on the ZX-4R, valid until the end of May. This brings its effective ex-showroom price down to Rs 8.39 lakh.
The ZX-4R is powered by a 399cc, liquid-cooled, inline-four engine that produces 77hp and 39Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. With this powertrain, the ZX-4R essentially sits in a class of its own, with no direct rivals. However, in terms of pricing, it competes with the Honda CBR650R, Triumph Daytona 660 and Suzuki GSX-8R.
This week, Kawasaki also launched the 2025 Versys-X 300 at a price of Rs 3.80 lakh, aiming to take on the KTM 390 Adventure and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
