Two-wheeler manufacturers reported some of their best-ever sales figures in October 2025, largely thanks to the combined effect of festive season demand and the recent GST revision that brought prices down for most of the market. Hero MotoCorp and Honda battled for the top spot, while several manufacturers achieved milestone numbers.
Honda
Honda sold 6,50,596 two-wheelers in October 2025
Honda sold 6,50,596 units in October 2025, comprising 5,98,952 units in the domestic market and 51,644 units in exports. These numbers represent a growth of 9 percent year on year (YoY) and 15 percent over the previous month.
In October 2025, Honda also achieved the milestone of selling 35 million Activas since the scooter’s launch.
Hero MotoCorp
Hero sold 6,35,808 two-wheelers in October 2025
Hero MotoCorp, which sold nearly 1.2 lakh more two-wheelers than Honda in September 2025, was dethroned in October with 6,35,808 units dispatched. Sales were down 6.6 percent compared to October 2024 (6,79,091 units).
However, the company recorded 9,94,690 registrations on VAHAN during the month. While model-specific sales figures haven’t been disclosed, the manufacturer has mentioned that sales were led by the Splendor, Xpulse and Glamour X models, aside from its scooter range.
A couple of days ago, at EICMA 2025, Hero also showcased a more off-road spec Dakar Edition of the Xpulse 210 and the Hunk 440 SX, which is a variant of the export-spec Mavrick 440.
TVS
TVS sold 5,25,150 two-wheelers in October 2025
TVS Motor Company recorded two-wheeler sales of 5,25,150 units in October 2025, a 10 percent growth over 4,78,159 units sold in the year-ago period.
Domestic two-wheeler sales rose 8 percent from 3,90,489 units in October 2024 to 4,21,631 units in October 2025. Of this, motorcycles registered a 16 percent growth from 2,30,822 units to 2,66,715 units, while scooter sales increased 7 percent from 1,93,439 units to 2,05,919 units.
The company’s international two-wheeler business saw an 18 percent growth, as sales rose from 87,670 units to 1,03,519 units.
Meanwhile, at EICMA, the manufacturer also finally took the wraps off the Norton motorcycles that it will manufacture in India.
Bajaj
Bajaj sold 4,42,316 two-wheelers in October 2025
Bajaj reported two-wheeler sales of 4,42,316 units, a 7 percent increase over October 2024’s 4,14,372 units. Of this, 2,66,470 units were in the domestic market, marking a 4 percent growth, while exports rose 11 percent to 1,75,846 units.
In the first seven months of the ongoing financial year (April-October 2025), Bajaj’s two-wheeler sales grew 3 percent YoY to 24,60,094 units. In the same period, domestic sales stood at 13,92,390 units, down 6 percent.
Suzuki
Suzuki sold 1,29,261 two-wheelers in October 2025
Suzuki Motorcycle India recorded its highest monthly sales to date with a total of 1,29,261 units sold, marking an 8 percent YoY growth over 1,20,055 units in October 2024. Domestic sales closed at 1,03,454 units compared to 1,04,940 units in the same month last year. The company’s exports for the month jumped 71 percent to 25,807 units from 15,115 units in October 2024.
Royal Enfield
Royal Enfield sold 1,24,951 motorcycles in October 2025
Royal Enfield’s sales increased 13 percent YoY to 1,24,951 motorcycles in October 2025. In October 2024, it had sold 1,10,574 bikes. Domestic sales stood at 1,16,844 units last month, a 15 percent growth, while exports declined 7 percent YoY to 8,107 units.
The company recorded its best-ever festive season performance, selling over 2.49 lakh motorcycles during September and October combined, a 26 percent growth over the same period last year.
At EICMA 2025, the manufacturer also showcased multiple models, including the Himalayan 750 and the new Bullet 650.
