Honda  is all set to showcase the CBR 500R at the upcoming AIMExpo this month. The CBR 500R will borrow design cues from Honda’s flagship, the CBR 1000RR, but comes with its share of new features.  The redesigned muffler on the motorcycle is said to give it a more distinct exhaust note. Other features include the new dual LED headlights that merge into a rather forward striking front face, and the newly designed, larger-capacity fuel tank with a hinged fuel cap. The front suspension is equipped with a preload adjuster system and according to Honda's claim, the brake lever adjustment mechanism assures a good fit in the hands of a wide range of riders.

The new CBR 500R is designed to attract entry-level riders who wish to upgrade, and veteran riders seeking casual and comfortable riding. The CBR 500R is set to launch in the US next year alongside Europe, Asia and Japan (CBR 400R).

The motorcycle will make its global debut at the AIMExpo (American International Motorcycle Expo), which will be held in Florida from October 15 to 18, 2015.
