Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) unveiled its Police Model design of the CBR 250R at the 16th Indian International Security Expo 2013.

The Police Model design of the CBR 250R, made in partnership with Grand US Electronics, has been "designed as a potential police patrolling vehicle which can be used by police officers to assist with their duties in patrolling and responding to incidents. It will allow officers to reach the scene of an accident quickly and to patrol an area while providing high visibility at night."

It features LED lights which are claimed to consume less battery, red-blue police beacon lights, collapsible pole lights, and a torch light to allow police officers to read and write at night. It also comes equipped with a police siren with P.A. system, which has a push-to-talk button to switch to the microphone when required, and a utility box that allows the officer to carry important documents while patrolling. Honda also provides a specially designed helmet fitted with a hands-free microphone that helps police officers address the public while riding the bike.
