Indian has announced that it is accepting bookings for its recently revealed Scout Bobber, with the amount set at Rs 50,000. International deliveries will begin in September and we expect the bike to come to India by end September or early October.

On the American website of Indian, both the Scout and Scout Bobber are listed at $11,499. Considering that the Scout in India costs Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom), we expect the Scout Bobber to be priced at a very similar, if not identical, price point. The Scout 60 with its smaller 1,000cc V-Twin motor, at Rs 11.99 lakh, is the entry point to the Indian motorcycle line-up in India.

The Scout Bobber shares the 1,130cc V-twin engine and frame with the Scout. It is essentially a lowered version of the Scout with a dark theme throughout. The headlamp gets a new shrouding and the fenders have been shortened at both ends. The engine gets a new casing design and the flat-track-style handlebar and closer foot pegs alter the seating ergonomics. The biggest change, however, and the only mechanical one is the shorter travel rear suspension. Indian has knocked off an inch of rear travel through the use of shorter springs. This gives the bike its cool slammed look but also reduces ground clearance (135mm-123mm), lean-angle clearance (31deg - 29deg) and will also probably result in a firmer ride quality.

When it launches, the Indian Scout Bobber will be priced closer to the Rs 13.42 lakh Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber than the Rs 9.32 lakh Triumph Bonneville Bobber
