Spy images reveal that Bajaj appears to be working on what looks to be a Platina 125. The blurry image seen shows a 125cc badging and a front disc brake. Currently, we only get the 100cc Platina in India which comes equipped with drum brakes front and rear.
The engine appears to be similar to the one in the Discover 125. On the Discover 125, the 124.5cc motor is tuned to make 11hp and 11Nm of torque, and is paired with a five-speed gearbox. Like the Discover, the Platina 125 will likely offer front disc brake as an option.
The Platina 125 looks near identical to the 100cc model. It features the same colour scheme and graphics. The bike also gets the same yellow-coloured springs which are part of the rear shocks, and LED DRLs above the headlight. The wheels are still silver coloured. The only visual difference, aside from the 125cc badging, is the gold-coloured engine casing.
At present, it isn't clear whether this model is being developed for the Indian market or for export.
