2021 Honda CB1000R, CB1000R Black Edition revealed

Honda’s CB1000R features multiple cosmetic changes, and it also gets a special Black Edition variant this time around.

Honda has revealed its 2021 CB1000R. Along with multiple changes, the litre-class naked motorcycle also gets a new variant called the Black Edition.

2021 Honda CB1000R design changes

Changes include tweaks to the headlight, where it retains its overall design but is at a more aggressive angle than the flat-looking unit on the outgoing model. Additionally, the Honda branding that split the LED circle now looks smaller. Honda has also opted for a new alloy wheel design. The company has reworked the shape of the panels around the radiator and fuel tank as well.

Honda CB1000R Black Edition

As its name suggests, the Black Edition features multiple blacked-out elements. Along with the Deep Graphite Black paint scheme, this edition gets the headlight bezel, windscreen, fork mounts, radiator shrouds finished in black.

2021 Honda CB1000R new equipment

Both, the CB1000R and CB1000R Black Edition feature the Honda Smartphone Voice Control system, connected to a new full-colour, 5.0-inch TFT display. The engine and gearbox remain the same and so do the output figures, but Honda has said that it now “offers smoother delivery and response from revised fuel-injection settings”.

2021 Honda CB1000R India price and launch

The Honda CB1000R was one of the big bikes that was retailed by Honda’s BigWing chain at a price of Rs 14.46 lakh. Honda has plans to expand its big bike portfolio in India and the updated CB1000R will likely be one of the motorcycles to make its way here.
