Honda has finally replaced the erstwhile CBR 250R with an updated version of it. The CBR 250R was taken off the shelves when the BS-IV emission norms kicked in and, with the 2018 model, it is finally compliant with the norms. While it remains mechanically unchanged from before, the CBR 250R now boasts an all-LED headlight unit that promises strong lighting performance and looks good, too.

The CBR 250R continues to be powered by the 249.6cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor which produces 27hp and 22.9Nm of torque. Output figures remain the same and the motor will be paired to the same six-speed gearbox as earlier. The conventional telescopic front fork and pro-link monoshock at the rear also remain unchanged. The wheelbase stands at 1,369mm.

A dual-channel ABS is standard on the 2018 CBR 250R and it’s now available in five colours, including the Repsol edition. The bike will go on sale by March 2018 and we expect it to be priced Rs 5,000 higher than the previous model.
