The Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS is the brand's flagship supernaked motorcycle that is powered by a 1160cc, inline 3, liquid-cooled engine that produces 183hp and 128Nm of torque, which is 3hp and 3Nm up over the outgoing model. This increase in output has been achieved via a freer-flowing exhaust system. The rest of the specifications of the bike stay the same, except the weight, which has increased by a kilo to 199kg. This engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter. It runs on 17-inch wheels at both ends shod in sticky Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 with a 120-section front and 190-section rear tyre. Much like its cafe racer comrade-- the Speed Triple 1200 RR, the 1200 RS too comes with a single-sided swingarm. Priced at Rs 20.39 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the Speed Triple 1200 RS competes with the likes of Honda CB1000 Hornet SP at the bottom end of the price spectrum and Ducati Streetfighter V4 at the higher end.
