The KTM 990 Duke R is meant to be a sportier version of the 990 Duke, with increased performance, torque, and sportier suspension setup for track-focused work. The R version adds full adjustability to both the front and rear suspension, as well as a new, larger 8.8-inch TFT screen, compared to the 5-inch unit on the 990 Duke. The front disc brake diameter has also grown in size by 20mm, with the R getting a 320mm front disc. And the wheelbase is 5mm longer, at 1481mm.Along with the changes, the seat height has increased by 15mm to 840mm, as has the ground clearance again by 15mm to 210mm. Despite the improved equipment and feature list, KTM has managed to keep the kerb weight unchanged, still at 179kg. For the additional equipment on offer, the 990 Duke R commands a EUR 1,400 premium over the standard 990 Duke at EUR 16,399 (Rs 17.91 lakh, converted).
