After showcasing the Fun concept at EICMA 2024 and then subsequently teasing and testing it in Europe earlier this month, Honda has now taken the wraps off its first full-size electric motorcycle, the WN7. For the moment, it is being introduced only in European markets.
Honda says the WN7 name comes from three elements – ‘W’ is derived from its development theme of Wind, ‘N’ denotes its naked motorcycle design, and ‘7’ refers to the power class it belongs to. The Honda WN7 carries forward the slim, minimalist design seen on the 2024 concept at EICMA and uses a fixed lithium-ion battery with a claimed range of 130km.
Weighing 217kg, the WN7 is powered by an 18kW water-cooled motor that offers performance comparable to a 600cc ICE bike, backed up by 100Nm of torque—figures that rival litre-class petrol machines. Honda will also sell an 11kW variant aimed at A1 licence holders in Europe.
Honda has priced the WN7 at Rs 12,999 (approx Rs 15.56 lakh), with deliveries scheduled to begin after its formal debut and specification reveal at EICMA 2025.
