The CB1000's front end design is similar to the Ducati Streetfighter V4, with the headlight divided into two angular pods.
The SP variant comes with an Ohlins TTX36 monoshock and Brembo Stylema calipers.
It has a 5-inch TFT display and a suite of electronic rider aids.
Powering the biggest Hornet is a 2017-2020 Fireblade derived 999cc watercooled engine, which puts out 157hp at 11,000rpm and 107Nm of torque at 9,000rpm
With its large, 17-litre fuel tank brimmed, the Hornet weighs 211kg, which is less than the Kawasaki Z900.
At 809mm, the seat height isn't as tall as the European hypernakeds, but the 135mm ground clearance is a little worrying in our Indian context.

The Honda CB1000 Hornet SP is priced at Rs 12.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram). The CB1000 Hornet SP is available in its higher-spec SP guise and features a 999cc inline-4 liquid-cooled engine that produces 157hp at 11,000rpm and 107Nm at 9,000rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a bi-directional quickshifter.

Handling the suspension duties are a Showa USD fork and an Ohlins monoshock, both fully adjustable. Braking hardware includes twin 310mm discs with radially mounted Brembo Stylema calipers and a 240mm disc at the rear.

The CB1000 Hornet SP is equipped with a 5-inch TFT display, similar to the one seen on the CB750 Hornet, with smartphone connectivity for music, navigation and call information. The safety suite includes five rider modes (Sport, Standard, Rain and two custom modes) and three levels of traction control.
