Fantastic riders of the Malaysian Motorcycle Police shepherded the convoy right up till the Thai border. Participants of the rally were treated to a fantastic sound and light show amongst ancient monuments of Sukhothai in Thailand. The ASEAN Car rally reaches Thailand. The Mekong River Ferry crossing at Neak Loung on the way from Phenom Penh in Cambodia to Vietnam's Ho Chi Min City. By 2016, this will be part of Asian Highway 1 connecting Gawahati to Thailand. School children lined the streets to welcome the cars into Vietnam The rally is flagged in at the Reunification Palace in Ho Chi Minh City. Reminders of the war that ravaged Vietnam are never to far away. The rally visits Vatphu in Laos. On the road near Patse in Laos. The rally gets an overwhelming welcome as it enters Myanmar Pagodas dominate the landscape of Myanmar. Myanmar's new capital Naypyitaw is an opulent and grandiose city with a 20-lane road. The convoy visits the fabled city of Mandalay that has more than 700 pagodas. The cars make their way back home as they cross back to India at the Moreh border in Manipur. A grand cultural extravaganza celebrated the conclusion of the rally in Guwahati.
