I’m inclined towards the TVS Ronin because of its value-for-money factor. Which bike should I buy? The TVS Ronin is a good option for your needs, and you can even look at the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 - both are comfortable, relaxed roadsters which will be good on the highway. If you're open to ADVs, something like the Hero Xpulse 210 will also be a credible option, and it fits inside your budget, too.

Asked by: Ashirbad Nayak I own a Gixxer SF250 and ride it for daily commuting plus occasional long-distance touring. I want a bike with a parallel-twin engine in the sub-₹5 lakh segment. My riding will be mainly adventure touring with some light off-roading. Which bike is best for me? The only option in this price bracket currently is the Kawasaki Versys-X 300, which we have found to be quite average and rather dated in our time with it. We would recommend waiting for options like the CFMoto 450 MT, Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 and the upcoming Norton adventure bike, which will be made in India by TVS. If you want a bike right now in this segment, your options are restricted to the RE Himalayan 450 and the KTM 390 Adventure models.

Since your scooter is already quite old and not E20 compliant, we would recommend changing to a newer petrol scooter or an EV.If you’re interested in an electric scooter, consider options like the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Ather Rizta, or River Indie. Make sure you choose a variant that offers enough range for your daily use.However, if EVs seem too expensive, a new petrol scooter like the TVS Jupiter 110 or the Suzuki Access will fit the bill.

I’m 25 years old and prefer a bike that returns over 35 kmpl. Please suggest suitable models. Thanks! There are two types of bikes you can consider - sporty, liquid-cooled 160cc streetfighters and air-cooled, sporty-looking 160cc commuter bikes. In the former category, your options are the KTM 160 Duke and Yamaha MT-15, while in the latter, bikes like the Bajaj Pulsar N160 and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V can be considered. If you don't mind lower fuel efficiency, then the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 can also be a fun option within your budget. Another option that can be considered is the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, which will have a very different engine feel from any other option listed above, but will be comfortable and decently fuel-efficient. Something you can also consider if you're open to an ADV is the Hero Xpulse 210, which ticks all the boxes you want.

Currently, the only electric scooter from a reputed brand in your budget is Hero’s Vida VX2, but only if you choose the Battery as a Subscription (BaaS) option.While the upfront cost will be in your budget, do factor in the monthly payments for your usage into your purchase.Other than that, there aren’t any EVs we would recommend, as most alternatives are untested and unregulated Chinese-origin scooters, which aren’t a safe option in the long run.

Asked by: Zubin I own a 2019 Santro Sportz AMT. I’m looking for an automatic car for mostly city use (10-15 km daily), and being close to hill stations, a hilly trip is always around the corner. The budget is around ₹10 lakh. Is the i20 Sportz IVT a good choice, or should I consider something else? The Hyundai i20 Sportz IVT would be a good upgrade from your Santro. You'll appreciate its spacious and upmarket cabin and the smooth CVT gearbox it comes with, as opposed to the more rudimentary AMT.Alternatively, you could consider the Nissan Magnite, the Acenta turbo-petrol CVT variant. This being an SUV means you get more ground clearance, which would be helpful in hilly areas, and it comes with a punchier, 100hp turbo-petrol engine.
