Which is the best luxury SUV under Rs 80 lakh?

You have options of 5- and 7-seaters, as well as petrol, diesel and hybrid.

I want to replace my 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA 220d with another (non-electric) luxury SUV within the Rs 80-85 lakh on-road price range. This SUV will be self-driven at all times. What are my options?

With a budget of Rs 85 lakh on-road, your ICE SUV options are Land Rover Evoque, Land Rover Discovery Sport, Mercedes-Benz GLB, Volvo XC60, BMW X3, Audi Q5 and the Lexus NX350h. Among these, the Mercedes GLB and Land Rover Discovery Sport are the only three-row (seven-seater) offerings, while the BMW X3 and Audi Q5 offer a good driving experience. The X3 is diesel-only, while the Q5 is petrol-only. The Lexus NX 350h is also worth considering; and being the only hybrid SUV, it will be more economical to run and maintain than the other options listed.
