I’ve been using an FZ25 for almost 7 years and now want to upgrade to a higher-segment city bike. I’m considering the Ninja 300, KTM 390, or Triumph 400. Which one should I choose?

The Triumph Speed 400 is ideal for city riding needs, thanks to its smooth, tractable engine. It is lightweight, easily manageable in traffic, and also the most affordable option from this lot of motorcycles. The KTM 390 Duke offers more aggressive performance, sharper handling and has more features, but the ride quality is on the stiffer side to keep in tune with its sporty nature.

The Kawasaki Ninja 300, the only twin-cylinder motorcycle on your list, has been around for a long time and hasn't received any modern updates. The cost of servicing and spare parts of Kawasaki is also on the higher side. We still suggest you take a test ride of all three bikes to see which one suits you best.

I can wait until 2027 or 2028, as there is no urgent need. We are a small family of two adults and a 10-year-old child. My heart says sedan, but I am open to other body styles. My priorities, in order, are safety, comfort, style, AWD and a brand with good service and maintenance. My budget is within ₹1.5 crore. I like the upcoming Tesla S, Volvo S90/ES90 and Lexus 350h. If Ford launches the Mustang, then only Mustang. While 2027/28 is a long time away, and it's near impossible to gauge which launches will happen then, unfortunately, most of the cars you have listed are unlikely to be launched in India. This is simply because sedans, of which you are a fan, are not as popular anymore, and small-volume brands like the ones you have listed - Tesla, Volvo, Lexus and even Ford at this stage - are unlikely to take a risk launching a new sedan in an SUV-heavy market like ours.Of the lot, the most likely is the next-gen Lexus ES, which is a unique and tech-laden hybrid or EV alternative to the established luxury sedan set. It meets all your requirements, including an AWD option, though it remains to be seen the specification Lexus chooses for India. Lexus cars are known for their reliability and relatively low maintenance costs, so keeping the car for 7-8 years should not be a problem.

Asked by: Dhruv I am from Himachal and currently own a 4th-gen Honda City. It is very comfortable but sometimes hard to manage in the mountains. I am looking to upgrade to a rugged SUV/Jeep. I test-drove the Thar Roxx and loved the go-anywhere feel, but the lack of thigh support at the front is a deal-breaker for me. The Innova HyCross offers ideal comfort for my family and me, but an MPV feels too large for my liking, and I do not need the extra two seats. Please give some recommendations. If you are happy with the Honda experience, you should consider the Elevate. It scores very well on seat comfort and also has other pluses like good ground clearance and a robust build. The suspension can also take quite a beating and is something that you will appreciate, especially on rough roads in the hills. The engine is adequate but doesn’t have the punch of a turbo engine in case.Alternatively, you could wait for the new Renault Duster that will go on sale in early 2026. The Duster is a tough amd hardy crossover, and the new one that will be offered with turbo-petrol engines should also satisfy with performance.
