    Whether to buy the Tata Safari or XUV700 for a daily 30km ride in busy streets and twice-a-year tours to a neighbouring state of around 1,200km?

    The Tata Safari will do well on the highway trips, and it has a better third row, so if this is important for you, go with it. However, the XUV700 is the better all-rounder, and the diesel engine is far more refined and delivers excellent performance. In the city, it will feel lighter on its feet too.
    Moreover, the Mahindra XUV700 is due for an update, and this will be released next month. Thus, if you can, we would recommend you wait until that version has launched.

Should I wait for a few more weeks? There is a government circular that has been floating around on the internet saying that all two-wheelers will have to have ABS compulsorily come January 2026. However, neither the government nor the manufacturers has confirmed anything regarding this so far. You could wait a few weeks before finalising your purchase, and then choose between the Honda Activa 125 or the TVS Jupiter 125 if this rule does come into effect.

    Asked by: Sanjeet Dubey I have a Suzuki GS150R 2013 model, and I really love this bike. However, now I want to upgrade because I face spare parts shortages every time I visit the service centre. I am looking at the Honda NX200 and the TVS Ronin. My height is 5 feet 3 inches. Please suggest between these two or any other options. My daily ride is 60km, split equally between highway and city usage. Between the Honda NX200 and the TVS Ronin, we recommend you look at the TVS bike because it is a lower, lighter machine and has a more friendly 795mm seat height too. With its neutral ergonomics, smooth engine and plush suspension, the Ronin will serve you well over your mixed-condition daily commute.You can also look at the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 for the same reasons as the Ronin, both are priced similarly too. A test ride will help you decide which is the better fit for you.

I want to buy a scooter with a strong body so that I can ride with a pillion and also carry some luggage or bags on the floorboard. Is the TVS Jupiter 115cc or 125cc a good choice, or should I consider another brand or model? Please suggest. I am 6 feet tall and well built, so height is not a problem. My budget is ₹1 to ₹1.25 lakh. Thank you. The TVS Jupiter - whether it's the 113cc or the 125cc model - is a proven product which is spacious and comfortable for larger adults, so that is a good place to start. We would also recommend you take a look at the Suzuki Access, as that is also a reliable, comfortable, practical and fuel-efficient machine. A test ride will help you decide between the two.

    Asked by: Gayathri P Hey, I'm planning to buy a new scooty, and I'm torn between IC and EV options. I live in Bangalore, and my daily commute is around 16-20 km. I'm considering Jupiter and Yamaha Ray ZR in IC, and Ather Rizta in EV. Can you guys suggest which one would be best for my use case and why? Open to other suggestions too! If you have a charging facility at home and have limited daily usage, then going for an electric scooter makes a lot of sense. We would recommend you take a look at the Bajaj Chetak 3001 and TVS iQube 2.2 and 3.1 in addition to the Ather Rizta you're considering.All three are reliable options, so we would recommend choosing the scooter which feels the most comfortable to ride for you.
