I have been using a Honda Brio since 2016 and am now considering upgrading to a Honda City. My daily usage is approximately 15 km, with occasional long drives every six months. Should I opt for a brand-new or second-hand Honda City? Additionally, would a petrol or hybrid variant be more suitable for my needs?

Given your limited daily usage, a petrol variant would be the most suitable, and opting for an automatic will add convenience.
Regarding whether to buy a brand-new or second-hand Honda City, it depends on your preference and budget. If you want to save on the upfront cost, a used car makes financial sense. Look for the newest and cleanest example available through reputable platforms such as Spinny, which offer verified cars with clear histories and no accident or flood records. These cars also come with a comprehensive warranty for added peace of mind.
