I am confused between the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Royal Enfield Meteor 350, and Triumph Speed T4. My maximum budget is ₹2.5 to 2.8 lakh. If possible, please suggest some customisation options within this budget. I live in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Please help.

The choice of bike you should go with depends entirely on your riding style and requirements. The Triumph Speed T4 is the more capable and quicker machine of the three. And, if you spend a lot of time at highway speeds or want to do reasonably sporty riding, it will be a better fit.The Royal Enfield 350s are slow machines, but are soulful in a way few other bikes can emulate. If you enjoy a torque-rich, characterful, laidback and comfortable riding experience, the RE 350s are a great option. Take a test ride of both to see which one suits you best.

With your kind of usage, a petrol automatic makes more sense; the higher upfront cost of a hybrid will offset any fuel efficiency benefit. In this budget, we recommend you go with the tried and tested Hyundai Creta Turbo DCT. It gives a mileage of around 12kph in the city, and around 15kph on highways. It is spacious and comfortable, and the ride quality is good for Indian city conditions.

For mostly city use with occasional highway drives, we would recommend you pick a car with a petrol engine. The Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos with the 115hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine and CVT automatic gearbox are the best options in this budget. Both SUVs are identical under the skin, so you should pick the one you like the look of more. They also have different interiors and slight feature differences. Both are also spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the petrol-CVT combination is refined and smooth.

The Nissan Magnite is a good option for you. It has a spacious cabin and a comfortable rear seat that can accommodate three adults. Apart from a 1.0 NA petrol engine, the Magnite is also available with a punchy 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that can also be had with a CVT automatic. Meanwhile, the Skoda Kylaq's rear seat isn't as spacious for three adults.
