I am planning to buy a car for my wife, which will run 2,000km monthly and mostly be used inside Chennai with occasional highway driving. I am considering an automatic option for this usage and have shortlisted the Ignis Zeta AMT and WagonR 1.2 ZXI AMT. My priorities are ride comfort and convenience, followed by safety and fuel efficiency.

Autocar India says: The Ignis is overall a better choice for you because it’s a better highway car than the WagonR and hence feels more robust at speeds. The high seating position and light controls will make it a breeze to drive in the city. The WagonR too has a tall boy stance, which is practical in the city, but it doesn’t give you the same confidence on the highway as an Ignis.
