•17wI am looking at a compact SUV automatic within 11 lakhs. Nissan Magnite, Sonet, and Fronx are options available. Sonet provides only iMT. Which would be the best buy for city driving and a couple of highway trips in a year? Would the Mahindra 3X0 be good?

Autocar India
The Mahindra XUV 3XO is a very spacious SUV, especially so for rear passengers seated three abreast; however, boot space is tight. Both MPFi and the direct injection petrol engine are peppy to drive and are paired with a torque convertor gearbox, which is the smoothest type of autobox. Bear in mind, though, that the Mahindra 3XO is a heavy car and tuned more for driving pleasure than for efficiency.
If this is a problem for you, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx is a very good all-rounder providing good interior space, decent performance and good fuel efficiency. The only issue is that the automatic is an AMT and thus it isn't smooth like a torque convertor unit, you will notice the shifts.
