I am planning to buy new car very soon pl suggest a car with better mileage and with good performance and spacious. Also comment between hyryder, tekton and creta which one to buy

Go with Hyryder. It is spacious and comfortable. Creta is more feature-loaded and stylish. But Hyryder offers more mileage. I would suggest you to take a test drive and then decide.

I am looking to upgrade from my Hyundai Creta to a 7-seater SUV. My annual running is only around 6,000 km, and my budget is up to Rs. 25 lakh. Is the Hyundai Alcazar a good option for my usage? I have also considered the Mahindra XUV 7XO and Tata Safari, but I am concerned about their relatively low fuel efficiency. Which 7-seater SUV would you recommend?

With a yearly running of just 6,000km, petrol is the sensible choice, and the Hyundai Alcazar is a good option. It is a comfortable, easy-to-drive family SUV with a hassle-free ownership experience, and the 1.5 turbo petrol engine paired with the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic is powerful enough and relatively efficient too. Plus, since you're coming from a Creta, you'll be familiar with the Hyundai network and could even ask for a loyalty discount. However, the Alcazar’s third row is not as spacious as some larger cars in the segment, so if you genuinely need a proper 7-seater, it may not be the ideal solution. What's more, if your Creta is the 2020 or newer model, you'll find the Alcazar perhaps a little too familiar on the inside. The Mahindra XUV 7XO, Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus are good options that offer more space. However, as you have noted, they're not fuel efficient at all, and moreover, in your budget, you will only get a low to mid-spec variant, whereas you will get a fully-loaded Alcazar. Another option to consider, though not an SUV, is the Kia Carens Clavis. Its MPV shape is more space-efficient, and you actually get more passenger and luggage room than the Alcazar, with the same efficient engines, for around the same price.

I have been driving a Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire Diesel for the last 14 years and am now planning to upgrade to a mid-size SUV. My monthly running is around 500 km, with an equal mix of highway driving and bumper-to-bumper city traffic for office commutes. I also undertake 2-3 long trips of around 350 km each every year. I am confused between the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Zeta (O) Petrol Manual and the Hyundai Creta S(O) Petrol Manual, as both are available at almost the same on-road price. I am not considering the Victoris because I do not like its back look, and I have ruled out the Skoda Kushaq due to its limited service network, as my job involves transfers to mid-tier cities. Which of these two SUVs offers better value for money and would be the more sensible long-term choice?

We'd recommend the Hyundai Creta S(O) Petrol Manual, though the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Zeta (O) Petrol Manual is an equally sensible choice if service reach is your top priority.Your monthly running of around 500km, split equally between city and highway driving, doesn't justify a diesel or hybrid, so a naturally aspirated petrol SUV is the right fit. The Creta stands out with its more premium cabin, better rear seat comfort, more composed ride and handling, and a driving experience that feels like a bigger upgrade from your 14-year-old Dzire. It is also a more refined highway cruiser for your occasional 350km trips. The Grand Vitara's biggest strength is its strong hybrid powertrain, and by choosing the regular petrol version, you miss its key advantage. That said, it remains an easy car to own, is likely to be slightly more fuel efficient and benefits from Maruti Suzuki's extensive service network.Since both are available at almost the same on-road price, we'd still choose the Creta S(O) Petrol Manual for its more premium overall package and superior comfort.
