Along with an exclusive drive of the all-new Hyundai Elantra, the August issue of Autocar India brings you drives of the Audi Q2, the Volvo S90 and the Ford Mustang to name a few. There are rides of the MV Agusta F4, and UM Motorcycles’ Renegade cruisers, and a total of four new comparisons this month awaiting you inside. Here are some of the highlights.

    Exclusive Drive: New Hyundai Elantra

While the current Elantra still looks fresh and futuristic, Hyundai is already set to bring the next-gen model to India. It’s bigger, more mature and packed with tech, and we got exclusive access to it to tell you what this new executive sedan is all about.

    Audi Q2
It’s the smallest model in Audi’s ‘Q’ range, and at an estimated Rs 27 lakh, it’s an ideal rival for hatchbacks like the Mercedes A-class, Volvo V40 and BMW 1-series. So what you get is an SUV for hatchback money. But with an expected launch in 2017, is it worth the wait?

    Ford Mustang
You hardly need an introduction to this American cult icon. The sixth-gen Mustang has just hit Ford’s Indian showrooms with a sticker price of Rs 65 lakh, and we took this 401hp muscle car for a loud spin at the BIC.

    Volvo S90
The Swedish car maker plans to take on the BMW 5-series, the Mercedes E-class and the Audi A6 with its new flagship, the S90. It’s coming to India this November and we drove the car to find out if it’s good enough to keep up with the German luxury heavyweights.

    New Porsche 911 Carrera S
Porsche has replaced the Carrera’s naturally aspirated, high-revving flat sixes for more powerful, more efficient and eco-friendlier turbocharged motors. But has forced induction spoiled the classic formula?

    Honda BR-V vs rivals
This month, we bring you a road-test of Honda’s small SUV – the BRV, and also have for you a battle between it and its rivals, namely the Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster and Maruti S-Cross, to tell you which one’s the best pick.

    Isuzu D-Max V-Cross
If you plan on treating yourself to a fun vehicle for your weekend getaways, a pick-up truck might just be the car you didn’t realise you wanted. And the brand new Isuzu D-Max V-Cross might just be one to pick. We rough it out in the rains to tell make your decision easier.

    Hayabusa vs Ninja ZX-14R
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R’s claim to fame was beating the ’Busa in the max-speed race. In India however, the big Suzuki packs has an upper hand – it’s locally assembled and hence more affordable. If you’re unable to pick one, our shootout between the two should ease your conundrum.

There’s all of that, more comparisons, a lot many more test-drives and rides and all the latest from the world of wheels, jam-packed into this issue. Get your August issue today!
