Maruti has announced that pricing and equipment list for the Ciaz facelift will be officially announced next Monday, August 20, 2018. The Ciaz was expected to hit Nexa showrooms in first week of this month but was delayed for multiple reasons.

While the final updated look of the car is still more or less under wraps, there have been a series of leaks including images partially showing the Ciaz along with a lot of info, including its economy figures. The latest leaked information surfacing online talks about the Ciaz’s safety features. Just like the pre-facelift car, Maruti will equip the Ciaz with dual front airbags and ABS in all its variants. Additionally, parking sensors will also be offered.  Additionally, Maruti will equip the new Ciaz with a seatbelt reminder warning – not just for the driver, but for the front passengers as well. This addition will be made keeping in mind the upcoming safety norms.

The Ciaz facelift will also come with a speed alert system which can be set from the multi-info display. This system will be activated at speeds 80kph and above and will warn drivers by sounding off beeps based on the vehicle speed.

The refreshed Ciaz will be available in four variants, just like the outgoing car. Two engine options will be on offer – an all-new 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine and a 1.3-litre diesel mill; the latter has been carried over from the pre-facelift car. An automatic gearbox will be available as an option only on the petrol variant. The Ciaz facelift will be available in seven paint shade options.

The refreshed Ciaz will get LED headlamps and tail lamps along with new front and rear bumpers and a new grille; and 16-inch alloy wheels on the top-spec trim.

Key rivals for the upcoming sedan include the Honda City, the Hyundai Verna and the Toyota Yaris. Bookings for the new Ciaz are officially open. Nexa outlets are gearing up to commence deliveries shortly after its launch.
