Greaves Electric Mobility showed a range of new products targeting different market segments at the Auto Expo 2025. These include the Ampere Xpress B2B e-scooter and the Ampere Xyber, which previews an electric bike. Alongside these, the brand has showcased its existing offering’s two new variants: the Nexus S Turismo and the Nexus Executive.

  1. Ampere Xpress is based on the NXU concept unveiled in 2023
  2. Xyber will be the brand’s first e-bike; it’s a very early-stage concept
  3. Nexus scooter gets two new variants with more power, features

Ampere Xpress concept previews future B2B scooter

At the Auto Expo’s 2023 edition, Ampere showcased two concept e-scooters, the NXU and NXG. The NXU was inherently more utilitarian, targeted towards the B2B and e-commerce segments. The concept had a 200kg payload capacity; that figure is even higher at 230kg in the close-to-production-ready Xpress. For reference, even something like a Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has a 198kg payload.

The Xpress uses the same alloy 12-inch wheels as the Nexus but with different tyres. Even its swingarm-mounted motor’s design is the same as that of the Nexus, but it has a lower 60kph top speed compared to the Nexus’ 90kph. Where the Xpress differs from the Nexus is that its battery pack is removable. Ampere says the Xpress will come with a 5-year/75,000km warranty when it goes on sale.

Xyber concept previews Ampere’s first electric bike

Alongside the nearly production-ready Xpress, Ampere showed us a new electric bike concept called the Xyber, a very early prototype whose production version seems to be quite some time away. The Xyber is equipped with an LFP battery, offering a range of “up to 200km on a full charge”. Ampere also claims that the Xyber concept has both AC and DC fast-charging capabilities, similar to the Raptee T30

While Ampere has revealed the Xyber’s range figures, it hasn’t disclosed the battery capacity. The concept has a 10kW electric motor with a claimed top speed of 100kph. In typical streetfighter fashion, it runs on 17-inch alloy wheels with road-biased tyres and has an angular, sharp design. The Xyber gets disc brakes at both ends, along with ABS. However, the company didn’t specify whether it’s a single-channel or dual-channel system.

Ampere Nexus gets two two new variants

Ampere has also showcased two new variants of the Nexus: the Executive and the S Turismo. Both these variants get a more powerful 5kW motor, but at 93kph, they have the exact same claimed top speed as the standard Nexus

The Executive gets a stealthy matte black finish with a contrasting brown seat, while the S Turismo gets a flashy red and black dual-tone paint scheme. Where the base Nexus takes 4 hours for a full charge, these two variants take a slightly lower 3.5 hours. Expect these variants to be priced in the same ballpark as the Nexus ST (Rs 1.25 lakh, ex-showroom, India), perhaps a little higher.
