Morris Garages, or MG Motor India, has been around in the country since 2019. The British car brand is currently owned by Chinese automotive giant SAIC and has eight models on sale in India. The line-up includes the Comet EV, Windsor EV, Astor SUV, ZS EV, Hector, Gloster SUV and M9.

The MG Astor price starts from around Rs 9 lakh in India. It takes on the Creta, Seltos, Tiguan and Kushaq. The Astor also gets an all-electric variant, called the MG ZS EV, that rivals the Nexon EV, Curvv EV and Creta EV in India.
The Windsor is the most popular MG car on sale in India and is outselling the Nexon EV in terms of monthly sales. The Windsor price starts at Rs 14 lakh, and thanks to its decent range and spacious cabin, it has been taking sales off other electric SUVs like the Punch EV, which is sold at a similar price point.

The Hector and Hector Plus SUVs are the oldest MG models in India, and they rival the Creta, Alcazar, Harrier, Safari, Seltos, Grand Vitara and Hyryder. The MG Hector comes as a 5-seater, while the Hector Plus can be ordered with a six-seat layout.

Upcoming MG launches include the Cyberster, M9 EV and Majestor SUV. The MG Cyberster’s price in India will start at Rs 60 lakh, and it will be the brand’s first electric sports car in India. The MG M9 MPV will come with a fully electric powertrain and will rival the Kia Carnival and Toyota Vellfire. The third upcoming launch from MG will be the Majestor SUV, which will sit above the Gloster and take on the Fortuner Legender. All three new MG models are expected to be sold via MG Select showrooms.
