Triumph Scrambler 400 XC
Quick review
The Scrambler 400 XC comes standard with the lower engine guard, which is an accessory on the 400 X.
It also gets the headlight grille, higher front fender and body-coloured flyscreen.
The Scrambler 400 XC's cross-spoke tubeless wheels come from Excel and are a little lighter than the 400 X's alloys.
The Scrambler 400 XC is 5 kg heavier than the 400 X but you can't feel that on the move.
Riding the Scrambler 400 XC is a pleasant affair in the city but the engine feels buzzy at highway speeds.
The dull front brake and the average MRF tyres should have been addressed on the 400 XC.
If you like the Scrambler 400 XC's aesthetic and all-round competence, we’d say it is worth the extra money.
