Trending Questions on Tata Nexon - Answered by Autocar Experts
Hi team, I purchased a Tata Nexon Creative+S (manual) 2023 model in December 2024 due to discounts. I recently drove the AMT variant of the Nexon (top-end) from Ooty to Masinagudi and back, and completely fell in love with the ease of driving it. Now I only want an automatic. I want to upgrade my vehicle and, with the advent of the Sierra, new Seltos, new 7XO, and the petrol Adventure+ Safari, what should I choose? Mostly the city use and highway once a month.
My monthly running is around 1,600 km, and Iโm torn between getting a Victoris CNG or a Tata Nexon EV. Which one is a better buy considering running cost, maintenance, and long-term value?
Choosing between a CNG and an EV is largely dependent on your driving environment. If you are driving predominantly in the city, an EV would be a lot more affordable and convenient.
However, if your driving includes highways and out-of-station trips, an EV presents several challenges, such as charging time, waiting, and uncertainty about charger functionality.
A CNG would be a better buy if you frequently drive out of the city, where chargers are not frequent. If so, the Tata Nexon CNG would be a better option.
While the Maruti Victoris is larger in size, the Nexon has more features and equipment for a lesser price. The dual-cylinder design on the Nexon results in just as much boot space as the Victoris, and the CNG tank capacity is more too.
What also helps the Nexon is the more powerful engine, a 6-speed manual gearbox and a better-equipped cabin with panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, a larger touchscreen and better audio.
The Fearless Plus variant will offer a well-rounded package
Hi, I am a regular reader of your page. Your suggestions are excellent. I want to buy a 5-seater diesel car. My running is around 1,500 km per month, and my budget is Rs 12-15 lakh. Is the Tata Nexon diesel AMT a good option?
Hi Autocar team, need your expert suggestion. I have a 5-year-old petrol Nexon Automatic (XZA+). I'm fed up with the regular mechanical faults (one or another) and am now looking to change my car to another automatic. My preferences are safety, low maintenance, reliability, fuel economy, good interior, and comfort . I have a stretched budget of 12-13 lakhs for the automatic gearbox. Which car should I buy?
My budget is โน11 lakh on-road in Delhi. I need a reliable petrol car for long-term use, suitable for highways and hilly terrain. It should seat five adults comfortably, have good boot space, low NVH levels, and feel solid and robust. Iโd prefer the engine to stay under 2,500 rpm at 100โ110 kmph. Iโm open to hatchbacks or sub-compact SUVs. Please advise.
I donโt understand what to choose while looking for a new car that will be used in the city as well as on the highway (the home to office is 90 km both ways). I am confused between the Tata Nexon and the Curvv. I find the Curvv stylish, but it doesnโt come with a CNG model, which is the main difference causing the confusion. Iโm also not sure why I donโt see the Curvv on the road as much as the Nexon.
Iโm confused between the new Venue diesel and the Nexon CNG because of mileage. I also want good boot space, features, and safety. Suggest which variant or any other car to consider.
If your running is primarily in the city, a CNG might make more sense. The Tata Nexon CNG is a good choice, offering CNG flexibility with ample boot space thanks to its clever twin-cylinder layout.
Iโm currently using a Tata Tiago Diesel XZ (2020) and want to upgrade to a diesel SUV under 4 metres. My daily running is about 15-20km. Please suggest suitable options.
Do note, given your limited running, a diesel SUV isn't an ideal choice. Not only will it be more expensive than a petrol SUV to buy, but it will also require more care to keep the systems running without issue. BS6 diesel engines require slightly longer running, ideally on a highway, to let the diesel particulate filter (DPF) regenerate properly.
There are plenty of petrol sub-4m SUVs that you can look at.
Hi, I need your advice for buying my first car. Iโm choosing between three options: XUV 3XO (AX5 variant), Tata Nexon (Creative), and the New Hyundai Venue (HX5 1.0). Which one should I pick, and why?
The Mahindra XUV 3XO has the best rear seat space and comfort. The ride, while not as good as the Nexon, is still good enough. It gets good equipment, and the performance is good too. The Nexon has the best ride quality but isn't as fun to drive as the others, so unless ride quality is a high-priority requirement, the Mahindra is the better choice than the Tata. The Venue is high on features, it is new and fresh in terms of design, and it has a well-equipped cabin. However, it falls short on rear seat space. As an overall package, the Mahindra XUV 3XO is the better bet overall.
