Trending Questions on Tata Cars - Answered by Autocar Experts
I want to buy a hatchback under 10L for a family of 5, must have all new tech features, and a good infotainment system. Which car should I buy?
Hi, I’m planning to upgrade to a new car after 10 years. I’m 6'2" and need a CNG-fitted car for daily long runs to the office. My on-road budget is ₹9 lakh. I’m torn between the Tata Punch CNG, Toyota Taisor CNG, and Hyundai Exter CNG. Should I buy now or wait a few months for more CNG options in this budget? Please suggest.
The Toyota Taisor CNG has the best engine among the cars you have shortlisted. It’s the one to buy if you’re comfortable with the cabin.
Some of our taller reviewers did mention that the driving position feels a bit high. If that’s not an issue for you, the Taisor CNG is definitely the best choice.
We also compared the Exter CNG and Punch CNG, and found the Hyundai Exter to be a more rounded package overall.

Tata Punch CNG vs Hyundai Exter CNG - Dual Duel
I’m confused between Hyundai Venue, Tata Curvv, and Honda Elevate. My budget is ₹15 lakh - which one should I buy?
The Tata Curvv is the largest SUV in this comparison, and while it has a very comfy ride and unique looks, the rear space isn't good for tall adults. The Hyundai Venue is the most well-equipped in this budget, but it is also a segment below the Elevate and the Curvv. If rear seat space isn't a high priority, the new Hyundai Venue is the best choice in this group.
I have been using a Wagon R LXI CNG for 13 years, but the boot space is occupied by the CNG tank. I’m planning to buy a new car within the next 6 months under an ₹18 lakh budget. My priority is mileage and comfort. I’m inclined to wait for the Tata Curvv CNG, considering the petrol variant offers decent city mileage and good highway efficiency. I hope the CNG variant further enhances mileage. What’s your advice - should I wait or consider other options?
The Maruti Suzuki Victoris in CNG trim will be a better buy than the Curvv, as it has more space in the back and given your familiarity with Maruti, the Victoris will be a better buy. Also, if you are going to exchange your older car, Maruti is likely to offer a better deal on the Wagon-R.
Want a second EV for daily solo city driving (≈700 km/month) with a ₹10 lakh budget. Please recommend models.
The Tata Punch EV is a really well-rounded vehicle, and makes for a great EV runabout. However, if you are open to its unconventional styling and two-door layout, the MG Comet is an excellent secondary vehicle on account of its compact dimensions. It is very easy to drive and park, and it is one of those cars which you will truly appreciate for its merits as you begin to live with it.
I’m a first-time car buyer and currently saving for my purchase. I prefer a top variant and have shortlisted two options: Tata Altroz Accomplished Plus S DCA and Hyundai New Venue HX10 DCT. I like both cars, but am confused about which one to buy. My usage will mainly be personal, for city driving and long highway trips. I also plan to buy the car under BH registration.
I currently own an Alto K10, which is 15 years old. I plan to upgrade to an SUV or hatchback (petrol or hybrid). My budget is ₹12-13 lakh. Around 70 percent of my driving is on highways and 30 percent in the city, covering 900-1,000 km monthly. I want good mileage, comfort, safety, and ample rear legroom.
Hyundai Exter or Tata Punch, which is better in the automatic version?
I need a small, tall, automatic, and fuel-efficient car for city driving. My average running is around 500 km per month.
My monthly running is around 1,500 km, mostly in the city. I’m looking for an automatic CNG car with sufficient boot space for occasional trips. My budget is ₹10-12 lakh, and my priority is driving comfort and mileage.
