Vinfast has restructured its automobile portfolio into three brand lines: the luxury Lac Hong, the mass-market VF range and the commercial vehicles portfolio under Green. Along with this, the Vietnamese automaker has added the Lac Hong 900S and Lac Hong 800S as new flagship models. Both luxury EVs are scheduled to go on sale overseas by 2027.
- Lac Hong line-up comprises the 900LX and the new 900S and 800S
- VF houses mass-market cars such as VF3, VF5, VF6, VF7, VF8 and VF9
- Green retails commercial models, including India-bound Limo Green and Minio Green
Lac Hong 900S and 800S: All you need to know
Triple-motor setup and active suspension system confirmed
As mentioned earlier, the new Lac Hong models will join the Lac Hong 900LX, which was revealed in 2025. Both the 900S and 800S EVs feature a 625hp triple-motor setup, with two motors on the rear axle and a motor at the front. While more details are awaited, Vinfast has revealed that both cars will be equipped with an active suspension setup “to deliver exceptional ride comfort and dynamic stability”.
Split-style headlights, a Lac bird hood ornament and T-shaped tail-lights on both
While the Lac Hong 800S is an SUV, the 900S embraces a fastback design. However, elements such as vertical slats on the grille and a hood ornament representing Vietnam’s mythical Lac bird are the same on both. Among other similarities, both EVs get split-style headlights with slim eyebrow-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and LED projector lamps and flush-type door handles. One notable difference in the fascia is that the parts that are blacked out on the 900S are finished in chrome on the 800S.
The rims on the 900S sedan look Maybach-like, but the 800S gets multiple dual-tone spokes. Both EVs get T-shaped LED taillights, which incidentally look similar to those on the two Avinya concepts by Tata Motors.
Both EVs feature dual screens, ‘zero-gravity’ seats and powered doors
The interior of both EVs features a layered dashboard design with a wooden trim on the passenger side, a three-spoke steering wheel with gold-plated trim accents and a dual-screen setup. Vinfast says the two models come equipped with ‘zero-gravity’ seats that mimic the posture the human body naturally takes in a weightless environment, reducing muscle and spinal pressure and helping with fatigue on longer drives. The 900S and 800S are also equipped with dual wireless phone chargers, powered front and rear seats and powered doors.

The 900S goes a step further by offering a partition between the two rows; this partition supports content projection for the entertainment of rear-seat passengers. A starlight headliner, usually associated with Rolls-Royce cars, is also a highlight.
Commenting on the new automobile structure, the deputy CEO of Global Automotives at Vinfast, Duong Thi Thu Trang, said the completion of the company’s three-brand structure lays the foundation for its next phase of development, which is structured, professional and breakthrough-driven. “The Lac Hong 800S and 900S stand as further proof of Vinfast’s technological mastery, product-development capability and advanced manufacturing expertise,” she added.
