Upcoming Tata launches in India in 2026

The on-going Tata Punch is used for reference.

Tata Motors recently launched its much-awaited Sierra SUV in a front-wheel-drive (FWD) configuration and has confirmed the Sierra EV for Q1 2026. The automaker's 2026 line-up also includes a Punch facelift – first spotted in camouflaged guise in March 2024 – expected to arrive early in the year. Here are the details on these upcoming Tata models in 2026.

  • The Punch will lead the manufacturer's launch line-up in 2026
  • The Sierra EV will be available with RWD and AWD options at its launch in 2026
  • The next-gen Nexon is expected to hit showrooms early in 2027

2026 Tata Punch facelift

Expected to launch early in 2026; priced between Rs 6 lakh and 9.5 lakh

The Tata Punch is gearing up for a substantial facelift, with sources indicating an early 2026 launch. Expect the styling to move closer to that of the Punch EV, featuring a connected light bar, a more modern bumper design, revised alloy wheels and a fresher-looking rear end. Inside, Tata could take things a step further than the recent update that brought the Punch EV’s infotainment screen to the ICE model. A full-digital instrument cluster and the EV’s two-spoke steering wheel are likely contenders, along with feature additions such as ventilated seats.

The facelift will continue to sit on the ALFA platform, and the 1.2-litre petrol and CNG powertrains are expected to remain unchanged. The upgraded Punch is estimated to be priced between Rs 6 lakh and 9.5 lakh.

2026 Tata Sierra EV

It will launch in Q1 of 2026 and is expected to be priced between Rs 16 lakh and 25 lakh

The Tata Sierra will soon be joined by an EV sibling, with the brand confirming a Q1 2026 launch featuring both rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive options. Built on the Argos platform, the EV benefits from a skateboard architecture that supports dual motors. Production will take place at Tata’s Sanand plant alongside the ICE model. Styling remains largely the same, but the EV will get a unique front fascia with a blanked-off grille.
