Honda City
Up to Rs 1.97 lakh (hybrid)
Up to Rs 1.28 lakh (petrol)
The Honda City e:HEV gets a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, mated to two electric motors – a 109hp traction motor that draws its energy from a lithium-ion battery to power the wheels and a 95hp motor-generator that charges the battery using the ICE engine. The hybrid sedan makes a combined output of 126hp and 253Nm, with transmission duties handled by an eCVT. The petrol-only City gets a 121hp, 145Nm 1.5-litre four-cylinder unit, which can be mated to a manual gearbox or a CVT.
Honda Elevate
Up to Rs 1.48 lakh
Under the hood, the Honda Elevate gets the same engine (with identical power and torque outputs) and gearbox options as the City petrol sedan. Competing in the midsize SUV segment, the Honda Elevate is up against rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, Maruti Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder.
Honda Amaze
Up to Rs 68,000 (second generation)
Up to Rs 57,000 (third generation)
Both the second and third generations of the Honda Amaze use a 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine generating 90hp and 110Nm. Both are available with manual and CVT gearboxes and compete in the compact sedan segment against the Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor.
