The bigger battery pack offers a single-charge range of up to 543km (on the ARAI cycle), while the smaller battery can go a claimed 440km on a single charge. With the EV added to the lineup, Toyota's India portfolio now spans petrol, CNG, diesel, hybrid, and electric models. Toyota will offer the Urban Cruiser Ebella in three trims – E1, E2 and E3. The E1 is only available with the 49kWh battery, while the E2 and E3 get the larger 61kWh unit.

The Urban Cruiser EV closely resembles the Maruti sibling, save for sleeker, segmented LED DRLs and triangular headlights, bridged by a thick black trim, and a smoother front bumper with two vertical air vents on the edges. Also different is the neat-looking bumper, flanked by vertical air vents at the edges. There's generous body cladding all around, and like the Maruti EV, the rear door handles are integrated within the C-pillar. Taillights also get the segmented effect and are not connected by a light bar, just like the front ones.

There are 5 monotone and 4 dual tone colour options. The former includes Cafe White, Bluish Black, Gaming Grey, Sportin Red and Enticing Silver. The dual-tone colour options on the Urban Cruiser Ebella include Cafe White, Land Breeze Green, Sportin Red and Enticing Silver, all with a black roof. Toyota mentions accesorries include side moulding, garnishes, rear camera upgrades, and exterior detailing.

As with Toyota’s other rebadged Maruti models, there is little to tell them apart inside, and the Urban Cruiser EV’s cabin closely mirrors that of the e Vitara's. It has been equipped with a 10.1-inch digital driver's display, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, sliding, reclining and 40:20:40 split-folding reat seats, 12-colour ambient lighting, a JBL sound system, and more. The cabin gets a dual-tone brown and black finish though contrasting silver highlights on the steering AC vents and door handles are also seen.

Compared to the entry-level Urban Cruiser Ebella E1, the E2 adds features like a parcel tray, a rear camera, and a wireless smartphone charger. The top-spec E3 variant adds dual-tone exterior options, an auto headlight leveling feature, ventilated front seats, a powered driver's seat, leatherette upholstery, a sunroof a 360 degree camera, Level 2 ADAS features, 2 tweeters, and a sub-woofer.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella EV safety kit

Level 2 ADAS, 7 airbags

7 airbags and disc brakes for all 4 wheels are standard across all variants, and the available other kit such as a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold and an acoustic vehicle alert system (AVAS) will vary by the variant. The top-spec Urban Cruiser EV features a Level 2 ADAS suite with lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control.

Toyota says that they are offering over 500 EV-enabled service touchpoints, an 8-year battery warranty, a battery as a service (BaaS) rental programme, and a 60 percent buyback assurance scheme.
