The Tata Punch EV facelift is set to debut in India on February 20, 2026. The e-SUV has been on sale in India since January 2024. While the details of the facelifted model are unknown, it is likely to take plenty of inspiration from the ICE-powered Punch, which received its mid-cycle update in January 2026.

2026 Tata Punch EV facelift: Expected changes

Could get a revised fascia and new connected tail-lights

Tata Motors recently launched the ICE Punch facelift in India, and the Punch EV is likely to be inspired by it. Key design differences between the Punch’s ICE and EV versions, including connected LED daytime running lamps (DRLs), a front charging lid and aerodynamically designed alloy wheels, are expected to be carried forward. However, the facelifted Punch EV is likely to come with connected LED tail-lights like its ICE counterpart.

Notably, the combustion-powered Punch lacks an ADAS suite, but it does have a housing in the front bumper that resembles the radar-based sensor housing found in other vehicles. Therefore, it is highly probable that the Punch EV could have an ADAS package.

Dashboard is likely to remain the same, save for a larger touchscreen

Inside, while the dashboard layout of the Punch EV facelift is likely to remain unchanged, Tata Motors could equip it with a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system from the bigger Nexon EV. Other features will continue, including a 10.25-inch driver’s display, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, a 360-degree camera, an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror (IRVM) and ambient lights.

2026 Tata Punch EV facelift: Expected powertrain option

Likely to carry over the same battery pack and motor options

While Tata Motors is yet to confirm the facelifted model’s powertrain options, they are likely to be unchanged. Hence, the upcoming Punch EV could get 25kWh and 35kWh battery pack options with claimed ranges of 265km and 365km, respectively. The smaller battery pack comes mated with an 82hp/114Nm electric motor, while the 35kWh unit is paired with a 122hp/190Nm motor.

The Tata Punch EV facelift is expected to command a slight premium over the currently available model, which is priced in the range of Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 14.44 lakh.

Prices are ex-showroom, India.
